Union Bay / Fanny Bay Fire Rescue

Valley Wide Category 1 (Camp Fire) Fire Ban as of July 12 @ Noon

Hello Everyone
Union Bay / Fanny Bay Fire Rescue will be joining other CVRD Departments as well as Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland Fire Departments in implementing a Category 1 (Campfire) Ban as of July 12, 2024 at noon. This is in addition to the al-ready banned Category 2 (Including Yard Waste) and 3 Fire Ban.

Stage 2 Water Restrictions will come into effect on July 1st for the Black Creek-Oyster Bay and Comox Valley Water Systems which includes residents of the City of Courtenay, Town of Comox, and portions of all three electoral areas. Under Stage 2 water restrictions, lawn and garden sprinkling is permitted between the hours of 6:00 am – 8:00 am and 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm, on Tuesday and Saturday for even numbered addresses and Wednesday and Sunday for odd numbered addresses.
